You Need
Access top-tier emergency physicians on a per-diem basis. Our network of emergency medicine physicians gives hospitals access to top-notch providers they might not otherwise have the opportunity to hire.
Access to a Quality Network
NEED Physicians has innovated an entirely new model for per diem ED staffing. Leveraging our vast network of highly accomplished EM providers with full-time positions at hospitals and academic medical centers, we can easily find the right provider to fit your need.
Intermittent staffing requires the right physician-hospital match from the start; there is no time for trial-and-error. Our extensive placement process evaluates all aspects of emergency medicine: culture, case mix, patient volume, workflows, and technologies.
We recruit the best and brightest emergency specialists from leading medical schools and residency programs, with experience at top-tier hospitals and academic medical centers. Our unique approach enables hospitals to utilize physicians they might not ordinarily be able to access. Not only do hospitals get scheduling gaps filled, they also benefit from knowledge transfer.
Quality is our guiding principle. Through referrals and recommendations, our team personally vets emergency physicians to confirm that they have the skills, credentials, certifications, and experience to help hospitals achieve their goals.
COVERING UNPLANNED ABSENCES
A small community hospital faced several simultaneous unscheduled leaves of absence. NEED met the hospital’s immediate need by expediting credentialing for a team of emergency medicine providers who were familiar with the community and the smaller hospital’s culture.
NEED coordinated with the ED physician scheduler to offer a flexible month-by-month per diem program to augment the permanent staff until the department was back to full force, thereby reducing the stress on ED management and helping them avoid over-extending their staff physicians
TAKING OVER ANOTHER ED
A multi-site community hospital system assumed the management of a large community hospital’s Emergency Department with minimal time to plan and prepare. To address the gap in permanent staff, we provided an 18-month plan for a team of 5 top-tier EM to cover staffing gaps.
We scaled back on shifts as the new team got up and running. During this transition, the department met all of its targeted quality and performance metrics.
USING A PERMANENT PER DIEM ROSTER
A large teaching hospital system needed to cover seasonal variances, scheduled leaves of absence, and periodic gaps due to vacations and illness. In short, they were in need of consistent per diem coverage to avoid periodically overtaxing their permanent staff.
NEED recommended a reliable permanent program that established an accessible bench of high-quality per diem EM physicians for the department, thus eliminating the stress of managing through the near-constant ebbs and flows and unanticipated staffing disruptions.
